This first edition of this book was fantastic, and this version is even more useful. This book walks anyone step by step through a solid program evaluation for gifted services. It includes lots of samples and templates that can be used as is or modified for the needs fo a specific program or district. There is a lot of practical guidance for collecting and analyzing data. The book includes guiding questions and standards against which to measure programs, and it is all grounded in sound research about gifted learners and effective services. This book is a wonderful resource to read to gain knowledge about how to build a successful and well evaluated gifted program. Gifted children need all the resources they can get and this book is the best to learn from. The survey questions are easy to read as well as informative to make any program better. Glad I got this book, I will use it to gain knowledge.
