I enjoyed this book because the photographs featured in it really connected with the text. This book is about different the different parts of a ferry as well as different kinds of ferries around the United States. For example, the book states, "The front of a ferry is the bow. the back is the stern. Port means left, on a ferry. Starboard means right" The book provides real life photos with all of the different parts of a ferry so that the reader knows what it looks like. The book also mentions, "The Staten Island Ferry is in New York City. It is the busiest US ferry. Washing State has the biggest ferry fleet in the United States." For example, the book states, "They [streetcars] are also called trolleys. In England, people call them trams." The book then provided a real life photograph of a tram from England. It also mentioned that Melbourne, Australia has the longest streetcar network in the world. The book showed a picture of it so the reader could get a better understanding of what it looked like.
