Reynolds Packard

Reynolds Packard was married to fellow journalist Eleanor Packard, and the two worked together as a team, travelling on assignment together to Vietnam, the South Pacific, China, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe during the 1930s and 1940s. From 1948, they were both attached to The New York Daily News bureau in Rome, Italy. They co-wrote the book Balcony Empire: Fascist Italy at War (1942) about Italy before and during World War II. His memoir, Rome Was My Beat, was published in 1975.
