About the Author

Josh Pachter is an American writer, editor, and translator. At the age of sixteen, Pachter wrote his first short story, which was featured in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine in 1968. Since then, he has published over one hundred works of crime fiction. He has also edited and coedited over a dozen näytä lisää anthologies, including The Misadventures of Ellery Queen and Amsterdam Noir. Great idea for a book title each short story from a Jimmy Buffett song title.
Some of the stories are better than others Truck stop salvation, and Smart Woman in a Really Short Skirt, were both great. And some stories also stick to the storyline or loosely to what the song is about
Pascagoula Run and Who’s the Blonde Stranger.
Anyway a fun easy read.

Won this book thru the Early Review program. Too many other books to read. I choose not to read it (especially after not being able to finish Berlin Noir which I also won, and ultimately gave it away. I gave it a 1/2 star only to indicate in my tracking that it was a DNF. It doesn't indicate the quality of the work itself

Si por "crema" se entiende lo que está por encima, lo que sobresale, este segundo volumen de La crema del crimen, como su antecesor, hace honor a su título.

The Misadventures of Nero Wolfe: Parodies and… Tekijä: Josh Pachter
Probably best if you're already a fan of Wolfe. The line between "parody" and "pastiche" seems a little weak--not that I care, but the author seems to. Some of these are excellent.
