About the Author

Trevor Noah was born in South Africa in 1984. He is comedian, radio and television host, award show host, and spokesperson. He performed in comedy shows throughout Africa. His awards include South African Comics' Choice Award for Comic of the Year in 2012 and MTV Africa Music Award for Personality näytä lisää of the Year in 2015. In September 2015, he succeeded Jon Stewart as the host of The Daily Show. In 2016, his memoir Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood was published and became a bestseller. I don't often prefer audiobooks to reading a book myself, but this book is an exception. Listen to the audiobook, you won't regret it.

This was a fantastic one. Narration by Trevor himself was simply superb and engaging. Highly, highly recommend it.

Knew this was terrific, but put off listening. Downloaded from Mom's Audible library because she told me often I should listen. A stunning glimpse into what living under Apartheid and its collapse was like. Noah has a remarkable mind; his story is amazing and he tells it exceptionally well.

Really good book. Lots of cultural insight into South Africa and family life, as told by one of my favourite comedians. A man of many talents.
