Blizzard at Blue Ridge Inn by Pat Nichols is a charming story. I was quickly drawn in and I was curious to see how the three ladies would handle their predicament. I like the author’s engaging writing style. The characters are developed and relatable. The three women are different based on first appearances (age, clothing styles, abodes), but we soon learn they have quite a bit in common. I enjoyed watching the relationships develop between Amanda, Erica, Wendy, Abby, and Morgan (and Dusty too). The women along with the teen girls will need to be strong if they are going to handle what lies ahead. The twists kept coming for these ladies. They have their work cut out for them. I like the town of Blue Ridge, Georgia. I look forward to meeting more of the friendly town residents in the next book. Blizzard at Blue Ridge Inn is about trust, friendship, strength, courage, and family. I hope the next book in the series will be out soon.… (lisätietoja)

Welcome back to Blue Ridge, Georgia, the town where the lives of Amanda, Erica, and Wendy were shattered when learning that they share a common bond. They also discovered that the three of them have been given a couple of abandoned properties which are in serious need of renovation.

Once again, the reader becomes absorbed in their lives. We reacquaint ourselves with these women and others introduced in the first book, meet their new neighbor, and even get a sniff of romance in the air. We find them united in the desire to forge ahead, but also remain aware that each has reached this point because of individual life experiences before making that fateful first visit to Blue Ridge. As a reader, I found that I was drawn into their lives and understood their emotions.

Pat Nichols presents her readers with the best of Southern Fiction. I heartily recommend that you take an armchair trip to the Georgia mountains and get to know if dreams really can come true.

The setting immediately intrigued me as I made a long-ago day trip to the town of Blue Ridge, Georgia when visiting not far from there. The three women, each of whom call a different southern city home, come to life for the reader so vividly that I felt like I knew them. There is a surprising plot twist that connects these ladies in a way that they realize that they must support each other.

The author captivated my attention with this story. Blizzard at Blue Ridge Inn is the first book in a new series and I felt I was provided with plenty of background knowledge about the lives of these ladies and why each was visiting the town of Blue Ridge. I have to admit that the town description has made me ready for a return visit.

This story drew me in from the very start. Author Pat Nichols has a talent for creating characters who come alive and keeping her readers involved. Those who have read the first two books will find a few surprises as they turn the pages. They will also learn more about how Danny’s winning lottery ticket is used to help others and if family conflicts are resolved.

Although this is not a romance, I do enjoy that love is in the air for more than one couple. These relationships brought a smile to my face. Since Daisy and David represent the lottery winner, a snoopy reporter becomes a pest trying to get information that will reveal the person’s identity. It is heartwarming that friends and family rally around those setting up new businesses in the area and to see Pansy’s bakery quickly become a huge success.

“New Beginnings” beautifully wraps up the Butler Family Legacy series. I must admit that I will miss reading about the Butler family.
