Jackie C Myrtle

I just finished reading Snowdrift Strangers. It's a short story/novella by Jackie C. Myrtle. It's about a woman and man during Christmas time who are lonely. They went to high school together and run into each other by chance. They had been friends all through school. Things change as they get older. They find themselves enjoying each others company but not sure how the other feels.

I really liked this book. I'm usually not big on romance novels. I try to avoid them if at all possible. This was a very beautiful story though. It was a bit cheesy, but most romance novels are. I like that it was completely focused on the point. The author never strayed from topic at all.

I like the underlying message of hope it delivers. The message is very powerful. I feel like it says never stop believing in love. It also demonstrates another message. Love will find you when you least expect it. This is a message I try to deliver to many people who are lonely and sad. This could be why I feel as strongly about the book as I do.

I love how it delivers the story in both character's perspectives without breaking stride. It's really hard to do this without confusing the reader. Myrtle does it perfectly though. I loved it. I was absolutely amazed by how well they pulled it off.

As I mentioned already, I'm not a big fan of romance. I personally really enjoyed reading this. I think all women will enjoy this story. It's cute. It's catchy. It's a fun read. I would recommend reading it around the holidays though. I feel it would probably give it a more magic feeling that way.

I feel that the whole dynamic of the story was a little rushed. I won't get into too many details because I don't want to ruin this for anybody who hasn't read this book yet. I'll just state that some things in the book happened a little too quickly. I could be wrong as there was no real set time periods in the book. It's just my opinion. It may just be because it was such a short read.

I fully recommend this book to any person who loves romance novels. I especially recommend it to the ones who have given up hope on romance all together. The message in it is too powerful to ignore. It's definitely a very inspirational piece.… (lisätietoja)
