This is a morbid read. Not sure how much I would recommend the book. I was put off by the insinuations that all or most Chinese Orphanages are guilty of the same abuses. The things reported on the Shanghai orphanage are beyond bad, but that does not make the government guilty of supporting the death of all orphans. A very sad read, but some of it is a little unbelievable. The offical reports in the back are good to read for their explanation or denial of some of the events. I just can't decide if either side is truthful enough. A disturbing read if you are interesed in checking it out. This book was also written in the 90's and could be seen as pretty out of date on policy, etc. also. Not a have-to read due to heavy politcal bias in my opinion.… (lisätietoja)
