Wilfried Meichtry

An excellent small biography about Switzerland's Bob Dylan. A life cut short by a car accident that destroyed a very fertile and deep thinking mind. Mani Matter's texts are filled with a deep humanism and respect for the vagaries of life. Matter approached life from a deeply bourgeois Bernese and Swiss background. A realization that good solutions to many problems were already in place, that issues could be resolved in discussion and compromise, that heuristic and incremental approaches were superior to Utopian big solutions. It is sad that Switzerland has yet to find a successor to fill the gap his premature death created. Highly recommended.… (lisätietoja)
