Felicia Day did an excellent job reading this one. It is, frankly, the only reason I bought the book and the only reason I stuck with it. I am not a LitRPG fan and this book is deep into that style. Be prepared to have stats and rolls read out to you.

It was nice to be on the other side of the fence from the typical heroes, but I think the LitRPG books from the POV of the dungeons are better at it than this one. The humor was childish and eye-roll-worthy. Nothing groundbreaking.

It's trying so hard, but the story never manages to pull together.

The MC is a bit too unbearable, and I never feel like he's learning or growing as a person even though that seems to be one of the main points.
The universe has a neat premise, but it never manages to feel complete or cohesive in description or nature.
There's a lack of tension to both the drama and fights, which seems to be mostly a problem of writing.
