- This is for people who like: paranormal/fantasy, mythical creatures, and some mystery/adventure books
- Story tries to tie in legends, religion, science, and myths with the paranormal occurrences happening in the book
- An introverted empath tries to find the courage to fulfill what could be her destiny and save people
- Some redundant adjectives/phrases throughout the book
- I never really warmed up to S.J. - not sure if this was intended or not (probably not)

I added this book to my library a few months ago and kept putting off reading it because life kept getting in the way - I wish I wouldn't have waited so long!
It is filled with most of my favorite things a great location, Daphne the main character has real world problems that almost anyone can relate to (bickering siblings, a crazy ex and not enough excitement,) thought provoking content and things that make you go hmmm. I find that I look at my neighbors cat different after reading Merkabah Recruit!
The characters are well thought out and develop quickly, making them easily relatable (especially if you have an unreasonable fear of... well just about anything). I am intrigued to see how Daphne will develop into her role and to see her mystery man S.J. become less of a mystery.

- I found Daphne a tad more annoying (whiny) in this book
- I still did not warm up to S.J. from the last book
- This story took place completely in Ecuador, so you'll read about some of the culture
- I wasn't sure why the dog/panties thing was included - maybe I missed something?
- So repetitive explanations throughout the book
- The beginning was slow but it picked up at the end… (lisätietoja)
