One month before his senior year in high school begins, Sam ("Bags") Bagliarelloi is hit by a car and severely injured while riding his bike home from a light night beer party. As part of his rehabilitation process Sam takes up running and eventually joins his school's track team. The story is told from Sam's point of view, and covers many issues including his recovery and training, his relationships with his parents and (especially) his older brother, his friends (and enemies and rivals) at school, his romantic life (such as it is), and his interior life and feelings. This novel would be well-received by teenage readers, especiaall guys looking for a realistic story told from a young man's point of view. It will also appeal to fans of the sport of running and to anyone nostalgic for or interested in the music of the late 1980's! Recommended… (lisätietoja)
