We are introduced to Saylor who just left home to go to college. Not the type to let her guard down and let anyone help her she rooms in a house with two other girls who have childhood friends that quickly become attach to her. She meets Deacon and is instantly attracted and connected to him. They try their hand at a relationship after she finds out that Julie isn't Deacon’s girlfriend but his daughter who was abandoned by her mother. One fun filled party at their house before the holiday break ruins their entire relationship in a blink of an eye. Months apart and sadness set in for these two. Being the great people they are their friends plot to get them back together.
Deacon is a devoted father who wants Saylor. He wants to show her that she can lean on people and doesn't always have to run when people show love for her. His past is complicated but he is willing to give them a try. Once the air is cleared between the two of them they are able to move forward and love each other and Julie.
I believe there is more to this story or should I say I hope there is more to this story. Guess I'll have to wait and see!
