Dress Like a Dude is a chapter book about a couple named Mila and Lauren. One day when they're coming back from lunch they see a protest going on through the student body about "dressing like your gender" and people chanting that it's not okay to dress differently that what you are. This all happens because there's a new student in school named Jake who's Goth. He wears whatever he wants including skirts. Mila and Lauren feel confused, should they come out publicly or should they hide their relationship in fear of other students reactions?
