Kenneth Jay Lane (1932–2017)

Kenneth Jay Lane was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 22, 1932. He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1954. After a brief stint in the art department at Vogue magazine, he spent the next 10 years designing shoes. He began designing his own jewelry collection in 1962.
