This was a perfect Christmas read. The author has created a cozy, festive, detailed North Pole in which we follow Clara Claus who recently just found out that the grandfather she has never met is the infamous Santa Claus. Since Clara will be spending the holiday's with her grandfather, and he is obviously busy this time of year, she is provided with a tour guide to show her around. None other than Jack Frost himself. The only thing is, Jack Frost is not doing this without a hidden agenda. This is his punishment for trying to destroy Christmas yet again. Jack figures by agreeing to be a tour guide, this will give him the inside access he needs to completely destroying Christmas for good. What he doesn't bargain for is falling in love with Clara......

Clara is immediately drawn to Jack. His sour attitude and short temper doesn't faze her. Nor does the fact that noone else seems to like Jack. Clara only sees a well dressed boy, who is hiding something....and not just the fact that he hates Christmas. It's WHY he hates Christmas.

I have to say, although I liked all the characters (especially Jack) the only thing standing in the way of me rating this book a solid 4 stars was Clara's questions. I don't think I've ever read a book containing a character that asks so many questions....why, why, why, why.....that and constantly second guessing everything....did he mean that? maybe he meant that. but what did he mean? that couldn't be what he meant....ugh!!!!!

Overall, the best contemporary Christmas book I've read and I will defenitely follow the rest of this series!… (lisätietoja)

What would do if your best friend moving far away? She is like your sister. You think that isn’t right decision…That happened to Aura. She is on a way to lost her best friend Terren. But what really happened with their lives. Strange creatures attacked them. Fear, supplication and tears. Seems they are lucky, they are saved from other beings.
Then Terren reveal that she isn’t what she thinks that she is. She isn’t human being.

What really happened I asked myself constantly, when I reading this book. Reality, dreams and parallel worlds are mixed in this book.

Main characters are real girls with real lives, dreams and needs. But in their lives shows some creatures some of them want to hurt them, the others want to protect them, evil creatures and good creatures. The fight between good and evil.
The creatures: Airian –master of the evil creatures, Ikura –good creature and the others creatures seems to me realistic, when I reading about them like I see them in front of me-Yikes! I feel the shivers through my body when I remind to some of them, specially the evil one. But like I told you there are good creatures too…
In that disorder in her life Terren learn who she really is.
Ikura and Koren and the other good creatures give her a book, ancient book.
The story in that ancient book is fabulous. I liked so much.
Alexandra is an excellent narrator. She makes me to believe in this story in these creatures and in their worlds.… (lisätietoja)

Alexandra Lanc has flipped the Christmas story around and told it from the viewpoint of none other than Jack Frost himself! What a terrific twist!

Jack is in trouble with the Winter Council...as usual. Only this time he will be expelled and lose his Immortality if he doesn't meet the challenge placed before him by Kris Kringle. This challenge is that he must fall in love with a human before sunrise on Christmas morning. Where in the world of Immortals...will Jack find a human to fall in love with? In walks Clara Claus....Santa's granddaughter. Only Jack isn't really interested in meeting the challenge...his only desire is to destroy Christmas...and he will use Clara to ends if necessary....or will he?

Even though Jack Frost is mean soul you can't help but fall in love with him and want to help him!
