I received my copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This story had potential - it really, really did but it fell terribly short on the delivery. The first few pages the sentences were choppy, short and punctuated. As it went on, the sentences got longer and longer with nary a comma in sight! Do you remember how Deadpool looks at the camera in the trailer and says, "Did I leave the stove on?" It felt like a lot of that when we were privy to Robyn's thoughts, like listening to a run on monologue of a diary. It physically hurt me to read it. I kept putting it down and putting it down, I really thought for a while that this was going to hit the DNF pile.

If you can get past the run on sentences and decide to stick with this, I story about wizards, warlocks & fairies hiding right in plain sight with the human world might interest you. The idea that there were alternate universes nearby that could be visited by the magical folk was enchanting. That ordinary London has a magical underside that cannot be seen with the naked eye... The idea of the story had some real potential. I liked the premise, I just couldn't get over the style and structuring of the book.

This book is apparently part of a series, but it is a series that I won't be reading. There is potential there with the story but the style is not for me, not at all! It gets one star from me.… (lisätietoja)

Supernatural Freak by Louisa Klein is a supernatural fun book! The book slams you into the middle of a werewolf attack on the opening page and then it never stops. Our gal of the story has lots of it things going for and against her. She can see ghosts, weres, fairies and the like, she is in a family of magic users, has the help of her family ghost, and one of the rare individuals that can speak Fairy. On the down side, someone it trying to seriously kill her for this. She has evil genies in her cereal box, other worldly creatures chasing her and her friends, and some one stole her family ghost! She also finds she is more than just herself...can't tell more but you will definitely want to know! She is not a helpless female role but a go-getter and I like that. Lots of action and fun. Multiple surprises and creativity. A unique fantasy read. Refreshing. Characters are well developed and likeable. This is such a good book, I can't wait to follow this freak into book 2!
