"Lucien" by Elijana Kindel was a enjoyable contemporary romantic read. I found this read a quick cute engaging story of the boss who get his assistant. With the hero having a grandfather that said you must marry by the age of thirty or the sister will loss the family inheritance. Lucien knew he had do to do something fast. He only had ten days until his birthday.

Why would Elise want to enter into this type of marriage? What was going on with her mother's problem with the tax police? Would this work for her? This is where I say you must pick up "Lucien" to see how this author will bring this out to the reader. Will fate intervene and induce Elise to accept Luc's last minute proposal? Be ready for a smooth read with both the hero and heroine having some good interactions going on in the office. The characters were very well developed and captivating keeping you turning the pages until the end. In the end you will be given a good funny and hot romantic read.

Just because I hold a degree in literature doesn't mean that I expect everything I read to be a profound literary masterpiece. Far from it. I am fully capable of enjoying a light romance, but this book was so ridiculously far-fetched that I couldn't even finish it. This supposed love story actually begins with a level of extreme lust. On their first encounter, Emily (Lee) has an orgasm merely because of Jake's voice. Are you serious? It happens again about a week later when he innocently rubs her shoulders and yet again the next day when they share a kiss. As if all this isn't ridiculous enough, we are expected to believe that the multi-orgasmic Lee is a 28-year-old virgin. (Seriously?) After seeing her orgasmic...umm...personality, Jake decides he doesn't just want a one-night-stand with Lee. Oh, no. He wants more. This is the point where I promptly deleted Emily's Affair from my Kindle.… (lisätietoja)
