Rachel Kenley

Fairytales that have been reworked are some of my favorite stories to read and I love the spin that Rachel Kenley has put on Little Red Riding Hood in this one. Ruby and Rafe were characters I was immediately drawn to and wanted to know more about. I enjoyed the history she gave them that paved the way for romance to build later. I liked the ending, although I'll admit to being greedy and wanting an epilogue to see how things turned out for them a few years down the road. Did they have those babies that were wolves like him or herbalists like her? A very enjoyable read.

I enjoyed reading this book. I could not put it down. I love HEA and this one has one. The foreplay scenes was a great build up to the sex scene. I can't wait to read more books by this author. Belle has been dying to meet her stepbrother, Charles, since their parents got engaged. But all of the functions leading up to the wedding he was not in attention to. The day of the wedding she finally meets him and they become fast friends. Belle doesn't even realize that his face is scarred from an accident he was in when he was younger. Even though, she never sees him again they do keep in touch through emails. Over the years, her feelings for Charles changes from sister love to more.

Charles is use to hiding except for that one day when he met Belle. That day he could be himself and he was. But he knew that was the only day that he could have together, because when she grew up things would be different. Charles that the wedding day would be his first and last time seeing Belle. Or so he thought.

Belle decides to runaway from home when her father and stepmother tries to take over her life. The only person that she can think of to go to is Charles. But she not sure of the welcome she will get but that doesn't stop her one bit. She is determine to make Charles see her and want her like she wants him. But will he like this scars and what people say about ruin their chances before it can even start?

This is my first time reading this author and really enjoyed this book. I could not put it down. This book is like a modern day version of Beauty and the Beast. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I recommend this book to others.
