This book was all right, but it does not compare with Skeletons on the Zahara. It could just be because of the time-frame/style in which it was written, or because the introduction had quoted directly from the narrative making the descriptions of some of the native customs and the descriptions of the land redundant. In fact, the most interesting part of the book was the few pages that had to do with Jewitt after his rescue. It is too bad that it could not have been expanded on due to lack of documentation. Considering how much he traveled afterward one would think he would have kept a journal at that time as well.… (lisätietoja)
