A compact history of the E14Y and its precursors, covering the development and operations of the type. The language is not always fluent, but the depth of research is impressive.

I have very little to add to what the initial reviewer said but that Japanese ASW aircraft apparently never actually sank an Allied submarine is perhaps all you need to know about the operational record.

I'm very pleased with the volume. There are a few areas I would have enjoyed more coverage on, such as operational use, hardware, and tactics.
Technical descriptions are excellent. Descriptions of non-ASW service are also provided and consistently well written.
The description of operational ASW use varies widely. For example, the B5N has 8 pages of coverage yet receives a scant 8 lines of coverage of its ASW role.
The E13A receives 8 pages as well but has a sub-chapter on ASW operations and a drawing of the KMX detection system.
However, the coverage of the Army ASW including an extensive chapter on autogyros and a chapter on ships operated by the were an unexpected bonus. The description of the ordnance will make the modelers happy (Discusses colors) along with some very nice cockpit illustrations and color plates. One nice little tidbit is a description of a Japanese amphibious warfare ship that makes it sound like the world’s first LPD (Albeit with fixed wing aircraft.) Overall, while there may not be enough here to make this the final word in Japanese ASW aircraft books, there is still more than enough here to rate this book as a must buy, five-star effort. (And it will probably be the final word unless an ASW professional decides to write a PhD paper for class at War College.)
Highly recommended for those interested in WWII Japanese aircraft, modelers and those with an interest in airborne ASW.

This one has been on MMP's coming soon list for years, but is well worth the wait - if you like oddball aviation subjects.
The English translation is a bit stilted at times, perhaps it went through Polish first. However, it is straight forward and easy to follow. The book is copiously illustrated with photographs, scale drawings and colour profiles. There were only 138 examples built of this submarine launched, reconnaissance floatplane, and this book does the whole story justice.
The Glen's main reason for fame was that one of them, launched from IJN Submarine I-25, made two bombing raids on mainland USA. Attempts to set the coastal forests of Oregon on fire failed, only four 67kg incendiary bombs were dropped over the two raids. These attacks get comprehensive coverage.
The series of reconnaisance flights over Australia and New Zealand get good coverage. This is a little odd as the first series (February 1942) were accomplished by the Glen's predecessor the biplane Watanabe E9W1. This machine does get eight pages of the book - perhaps it deserves more. The later flights, prior to a midget submarine attack on Sydney Harbour, in May 1942 were flown by the E14Y, as were several Indian Ocean flights.
Recommended, even if you have the earlier MMP title Japanese Submarine Aircraft (MMP Red Series, 2002)
