A very easy read. It's one of those books that you hopefully think you know how it's going to end, but you can't wait to see if you are correct. It's a fun read, but also, tells the story of how many marriages have a "blip" or "blips" during their marriage.

Over the Moon, by Linda Joffe Hull, is the story of Sunny Dey, the birth of her baby; her troubled marriage; her relationship with her in-laws, who have moved in with them; her relationship with her own parents and their respective spouses; her and her sister Luna's shaky business; and relatives who may or may not be psychic.

I liked this book, but it was uneven. In the first few chapters, Ms. Hull was trying to showcase her humor, but when everything is funny, nothing is funny, because there's no contrast. Further into the book, the humor was balanced with Sunny's serious personal and business issues, which I felt was a huge improvement. Sunny's relationships with her sister, her parents, and her in-laws, were well-developed and were great threads in the storyline. Her relationships with her personal trainer, her best friend, and her attorney, an ex-boyfriend, were pretty good secondary relationships, and they also added depth to the story. Sunny's twin brother Atlas is a famous psychic and author, and Ms. Hull tries to showcase a psychic twin connection that never connects. Atlas never served a purpose in the book and could very cleanly be cut out of the story entirely. The fact that Sunny's three-year-old son is psychic was also not well-integrated. Finally, there was entirely too much breast-feeding going on, and the shrieking baby was an unattractive character. Sunny's busy and absent journalist husband Alex was extremely well done, and their troubled marriage was completely believable.

Sunny and Luna have a successful organic soda business, Sunnyluna. The business is in trouble because there are questions about the ownership of the land which contains their source of spring water. Millions of dollars are at stake, and I found myself worrying about how this legal mess would be resolved.

Finally, the book still contains a number of typos. They were obvious and should have been caught by any decent proof-reader. Between the good and the bad about Over the Moon, there were more positives than negatives for me.

Sometimes you just need a light, fun, well-written, cozy mystery book and in this case Linda Hull has provided one! Just enough twists and intrigue to keep the reader guessing and turning those pages....Thanksgiving with unexpected family arrivals, Black Friday shopping mixed with the murder of a blog follower. Maddie has more than her hands full but she deftly juggles it all.
This is one of those reads that you'll want to curl up with and get 'cozy'.

Good mystery, better hints for shopping savings. Makes you want to shop on Black Thursday. The characters are interesting and want you to see them again. The mystery was pretty good I did figure out the killer early on. The hints did distract some from the story.

Maddie Michaels is a middle aged woman who is getting a divorce. Her husband Frank lives in the basement of the house. She has Trent & FJ twin boys in high school. A stepdaughter Eloise in college.

Frank's whole family ended up at their home for their last family Thanks Giving. The house they live in is up for sale because of divorce and financial problems.

Maddie to make ends meet has started her own blog, Frugalicious. It is going great. Frank is on the local news and his station wants to have Maddie do a special Black Thursday at Bargain Outlet. They will follow her and members of her blog shopping deals and be on the news live. While shopping their is a accident and someone died. Some think accident whiles others don't. Maddie wants to save Bargain Outlet busiest weekend of the year.

Los Angeles is setting of the book and time frame is Thanks Giving weekend. It is a fast paced story.

The hints are good ways to save money while shopping for things you need. That anyone can use to save money every week.

I would read other Frugalicious Shopping Mystery books in the future.

I was given this ebook to read and in return agreed to give honest review of it by Netgalley and Midnight Ink.
