Ronald Hope

This is an excellent little book - some big words and principles in the first chapter, so I guess the book was aimed at those in secondary school. I hope no children were put off reading the whole book. There are some excellent pictures, some specially commissioned colour and black-and-white drawings, others copies of better-known works.

For adults, there's much to learn, or remind one of things forgotten, in this children's book. Some of the drawings are really good explainers of the main aspects of ships, the sea and navigation.

I am pleased to have a copy of this book, pleased to have it as a bed-time read!… (lisätietoja)
