Loree Draude Hirschman

Author Loree Hirschman was one of the Navy's earliest women combat pilots. This book tells the story of her assignment aboard the Abraham Lincoln in 1995 as a member of the carrier's S-3B Viking antisubmarine warfare squadron. She writes frankly about the difficulties faced by male and female pilots as they try to work together. Hirschman reacted to her initial difficulties landing on the carrier by seeking to gain a greater understanding of the process and training as a landing signal officer.
