Maine Novelist Elizabeth Hand Wednesday, November 6th, 7:00pm at MECA, Osher Hall Visionary award-winning American novelist Elizabeth Hand has a longstanding interest in outsider artists, which are the subjects of much of her short fiction as well as her most recent novels, such as the psychological thriller Generation loss, about an emotionally damaged proto-punk photographer, and 2004’s Mortal love, inspired by the life and work of the schizophrenic Victorian fairy painter Richard Dadd. Her personal experiences of inexplicable transcendence and random human violence have shaped nearly all her fiction. Join us to hear Elizabeth Hand speak as part of MECA's 2013 Fall Lecture Series and get copies of many of Elizabeth's books.
