Her Secret Hope, by Shelley Shepard Gray is the third book in A Season in Pinecraft series. This is a modern day Amish romance series that takes place in Pinecraft, Florida. This is a fun story of three young women who have been “wallflowers” and quickly became friends. The books in the series do take over where the previous one ends, so it is best to read this series in order. Lilly has returned to Pinecraft and is working at the Inn when she meets an elder lady and here grandson, Eddie.

This is a well written, easy to read, heartwarming story. I enjoyed how close the friends are and how their lives have changed, yet they still find time for each other. It’s nice to see how the employees of the Inn quickly become friends and help each other. It is interesting to read of how Lilly has felt her whole life and how she lives her life because of it. She is such a devoted, hard working person who cares for others. I enjoyed the character of the elderly woman and enjoyed how she tried to push Eddie and Lilly together.

Lilly Kurtz first traveled to Pinecraft, Florida, with friends, and after a few years there, she decides to make Pinecraft her home. Now she can start new, afresh, and with no secrets. But when she falls for the hardworking farmer Eddie Byler, she soon finds that he is from her hometown in Ohio. This just can't be. He will know her well hidden secrets, and there's no way she will move back to that place.
What a pleasure it was to be back in Pinecraft, Florida with Lilly and all of her friends. I love this place and I recently found out it's a real place. I would love to visit. Shelley Shepard Gray has created a cast of characters for this series that I have grown to love. I don't want this series to end. The explicit details of each scene in this book is fabulous and I feel like I am in the setting with these wonderful characters. I adore Lilly, and loved that she is so independent and does well in any job given to her. And Eddie, what a character he is to bring his grandmother to Florida, just the two of them. And the grandma? She was amazing. She didn't want Eddie's help at all, she can take care of herself and order her food in and eat in her room, thank you very much! She wants Eddie to go out, get a life and have fun. What a grandma is that. There is so much more going on in this book, it has many layers of fun reading. I highly recommend this one if you enjoy a good clean sweet Amish story. I'm giving Her Secret Hope by Shelley Shepard Gray Five Stars
