Erich Goode is Sociology Professor Emeritus at Stony Brook University. He has taught at a half-dozen universities and is the author of twelve books, including The Taming of New York's Washington Square and Drugs in American Society. The paranormal : who believes, why they believe,… Tekijä: Erich Goode

Dissatisfying mainly because it can't decide what kind of book to be: it contains shallow analyses of its topics and frequent first-person paranormal narratives, yet also wastes an entire chapter explaining what epistemology is. While there is some interesting information buried in here, I did not come out of this book understanding why people believe in the paranormal. A real sociological assessment of this topic is warranted.
