I found two quilt patterns for 2.5" strips that I felt I could reasonably hand piece and quilt. Worth the inexpensive kindle price.
Goertzen gives directions for cutting the fabric (my least favorite), using 2.5" precut strips or fat-eights, or bolt fabric, plus border and binding fabric.
I subsequently purchased two matching "strip rolls" and plan on making two TV throws of matching fabric but two different designs ("Sprinkles on Top" and "Cookie Cutter").

I liked 6/18 projects, and that's huge for me! Vanessa has good balance in her quilts, with enough negative space. Some of the instructions, however, were a little confusing and the diagrams didn't help all that much.
