First off definitely heed the warning. This book is extremely hard core horror. Revolting, disgusting, stomach turning, graphic gore. If you can't handle that, this is not the book for you. If you can, well you will meet a child by the name of William who makes Damien from the Omen look like a mild mannered lovable tot. William reeks of death and disease and has unholy powers that no one can escape. As he grows so do his powers and it won't be long before he no longer needs his parents, especially considering the special diet he prefers.

Shopping Nightmare!

A backstory:

Jilly Carson wants to do some last minute Christmas shopping but doesn't want to do it by herself, so she waits around for her friend, Peyton. Jilly gets a distressing phone call from Peyton saying she will not be coming as she has to babysit her sister. Jilly gets perturbed as she really didn't want to wander around the mall alone but there is nothing she can do so she heads off to buy what she needs and then go home.

If anything would have been that easy as Jilly gets a catcall from a blond stranger and he begins to stalk her around the mall. Jilly does everything she can to avoid him but wherever she seems to go he appears, so she reluctantly lets him follow her out to her car and he climbs inside, but what happens after that becomes a twisted mess and the blond stranger is going to wish he had never met Jilly!

Thoughts:

This is a quick 20 page romp but it is filled with tension, suspense, trepidation, and twisted horror! This book was a reread for me as I read it back December of 2017, but I just wanted something with holiday horror but in quick snap and this is it! There is actually a lot of "snap" after the stranger climbs in Jilly's car - you know - "snap, crackle, and pop" variety? Readers definitely need to heed the warnings of this book as there is an abortion in the beginning of the book and lots cannibalism, torture, child abuse, blood, gore throughout the rest of the book. If you cannot handle it, then don't pick it up, but if you are a hardened gore horror fan, then this book is for you.



A little backstory:

Elizabeth Cotton meets a stranger outside of her church and is instantly mesmerized by him to the point where she lets him take her home. Her one night stand with him leaves her pregnant, and she decides to perform a self afflicted abortion.

Years later she is married to Martin and she ends up pregnant. But after she has the baby, everything kind of hits the fan as the baby is not normal. Actually he is far from normal and the doctors and nurses think he could be a demon baby from Hell!

Thoughts:

What entails throughout the book is what the baby is actually able to do with his mind and as he gets older what the parents have to go through to endure their demonic son.

It is very easy to get attached to the characters and the situations that arise throughout the book involving the demon child as he grows up. The pages of the book are pulsing with evil incarnate and it becomes easy to get caught up in the gory romp through Hell as the story moves at a quick pace. I read this book within 48 hours as nothing was going to stop me from making my way through it! A twisted page turner!

This is a very intense, scary read and there is so much gore in this book that it is a wonder my kindle wasn't bleeding! So grab your gore suit as you are going to need it for this book! Oh and do not forget your gore guard helmet, gloves, and boots as when the gore starts flying you want to make sure you are encased from head to toe in body gear! Five stars for one hell of a bloody ride!
