On the way, she goes into labor early and Captain Jack helps her and insists on marrying her, which helps his position. During the delivery, they marry and this starts a determined couple on a journey that has such twists and turns, suspense, drama and an exceptional can't-put-down book.

Winds of time by Lily Gayle is an interesting and entertaining Time Travel. This is a refreshing take on Time Travel. From the 21st century back to the 19th century set in Canyon Creek. Selena Tillman has had dreams of her ancestor Mary for years and the Army scout accused of her death. Captain Dylan Casey, Army Scout, trying to prove his innocence. . Dylan is fed up with the Army, bigotry, and white women. Enter Mary's cousin, Selena. Together, they embark on a journey of destiny, fate, love, truth and finding a HEA.
Well crafted, well defined characters and a delightful take in Time Travel. Ms. Gayke did an excellent job if weaving the past with the future, the presence with the past. The characters are charming and engaging. This is my first time reading this author's stories, and look forward to reading more. I also enjoyed watching the attraction and budding romance grow between Selena and Dylan. Ms. Gayle did a fantastic job weaving Native American history I to his amazing story.

One thing is for sure, Ellie Wilder is a girl who knows how to persevere! When she gets set on something, she makes it happen! It's an admirable trait for the character and a valuable lesson to teach readers-- even if it does get her into trouble!
Ellie is a young lass with big, bold dreams of becoming a hot shot journalist. When serial killings and a man who looks an awful lot like Jake The Snake pop up, she sees this as one heck of an opportunity!
Meanwhile, Mr. Harper aka Jacob has got himself a dirty little secret he desperately needs to keep under lock and key.
When they first meet, Ellie's journalist senses start to tingle. She knows this mysterious Mr. Harper is hiding something and she's going to find out what!
This ensues sexual/legitimate frustrations for both parties that inevitably end in a hot romance!
There were a few twists I didn't expect a story like this to have, so those were fun little surprises! This is definitely an interesting Crime/Western Romance/Tragedy novel.
The actual writing style is playful and engaging. I found it was easy to lose myself in this style, which of course made it a fast read! Great plot, great pace, great romance! It'll keep your heart racing for more reasons than one!

Wilder Hearts had a lot of cute, embarrassing moments that make the readers fall head over heels for Jake and Ellie. Jake is an undercover ex-Ranger working to investigate a series of murders from the inside. Ellie is a stubborn, need-to-know journalist trying to solve this murder mystery on her own. What's worse? She thinks Jake might be the bad guy! This story is a hot one, so make sure you've got the fan at the ready for this trip down to old Texas!
Usually, in books like this, the build up of tensions between the main characters is either over or under played. I didn't find this the case with Wilder Hearts- that tension is GOLD! As for the pace of the plot, I found it was well written. You get a solid base, an understanding of the characters, and then you get quite a bit of action and suspense in there, too! This is a great read for Western Romance and crime-fiction lovers, alike!
