This is the origin story for The Zombie Whisperer Chronicles trilogy. Kiko is a scientist in a very private laboratory. An issue arises with Patient 2 that is swiftly demanded to be resolved. However, there is an accident and now there is an outbreak of horror inside the building. A very short, quick read.

This short novella was quite good. I'm a huge fan of horror, especially zombie and apocalypse horror.
This is the first book by this author I have read, and I must say, that I would read more. I enjoyed how Chandra could make you like or dislike a character from the moment they stepped onto the page.
This is a very interesting take on the genre. Which, anyone who is into horror or zombies knows that it's not always easy to find new ways to showcase this genre.
I don't want to give much away.. But, I really enjoyed how the author showed us how things started, and also left us with lots of questions so we would come back for more. I'll have to see about picking up the other books in this series and see where things go.
