This was a fantastic start to draw a reader into the life of this new criminal world. Kiernan was a hardcore “Made Man” brought up from an incredibly young age to do what is expected of him by his family and ask no questions. He seems like he was born to play this roll and yet his brother, whom he protected in small ways, was not made to be a part of this world. Even though Kiernan was ruthless and lived his life the way he wanted, when opportunity arose to find a different path for himself, he decided to go for it. This is where Leona comes in to play, she is the daughter of Kiernan’s family’s enemy. Their families have decided that they will marry each other and join both sides, but Leona only knows of the bad things she has heard about Kiernan and his family, so she runs. Once Kiernan gets wind that Leona has left, he decides that she is his and no one else’s so he goes after her. These two once together mix about as well as water and oil, but then they realize that they know nothing about each other, and things start to change. There are a lot of twists, some expected and some not expected. I love how we got to see the true heart of Kiernan; he was still this alpha hardcore guy but when it came to Leona, she brought out different things in him. I also enjoyed seeing Leona come into herself and become a stronger person when she needed to be and not as afraid as she once was. Oh, my Romeo!!! You had my heart breaking from the beginning of this book and I just knew you would not only break my heart but also make me fall in love with, and you did. He has been through so much even from a child and no one understands him nor wants to help him. It is so sad because you know these things truly happen in everyday life. The only thing that keeps him sane while he suffers is his Sunflower. Luna has had rough life and suffers silently but from a young age her and Romeo have an instant connection and their souls align. Years after their first meeting they come face to face again, but Romeo doesn’t recognize her at first because she has been through so much but when he does his heart knows she is it. Even if both are misunderstood and suffer in silence, they lean on each other, but can they survive what is in store for them? Can Romeo live up to an expectation that he doesn’t feel worthy of? Can Luna learn to live on her own or will she let Romeo go because she doesn’t think she is worthy of his love? This book was so good and I was happy with the outcome, especially when Romeo went on his tear and showed us his psycho side because I believe we all have those in us some we can control others not so much.

Delilah is the daughter of Devil Dust MC president and her life has never really been her own. Her over the top protective dad and brother has always put a stop to any and almost all decision that Delilah has made because keeping her safe is their number one priority. What they don’t realize is that Delilah is wanting a life of her own, she recognizes she is spoiled and is dying to gains some independence over her life, she just must step away from her family to do so. By trying to keep guys away and Delilah safe her father and brother have kept her from really experiencing life and as a rebel this makes her crave that independence even more, so she takes off for a job across the States. I don’t think at times that Delilah understood the danger not only her life could be in if she ended up in the wrong hands but others as well so it was a tad frustrating seeing her want independence when she should have been more mature about things. Big Chief is sent to keep an eye on her and knows she is forbidden fruit if he wants to go far in the MC, but there is a draw to Delilah that he can’t help being attracted to. Delilah’s past has come back to haunt her and she can’t outrun her demons so she has to face them full on and deal with the fallout, but Big Chief is there to help her through. Through some twists and turns this was a fast paced read that had me frustrated one second and swooning the next. I can’t wait for Thane’s book I have a feeling things are going to really heat up.… (lisätietoja)
