The Last Quarter contains in one volume three of Flanagan’s books, Southern Sky, Western Oval; 1970; The Game in Time of War; and an essay titled, Tom Wills, Confessions of a Ghost Writer. A second edition was published in 2009.
A short but important work about the Indigenous Essendon star player whose actions in 1995 were a major factor behind the AFL introducing racial vilification rules and policies to counter on-field racism.
