Normandie Fischer

Shoal Waters by Normandie Fischer is the sixth book in A Carolina Coast series. While this is part of a series, I had no problems reading just this story. This is a powerful story that deals with sensitive subjects such as dementia and family issues surrounding that. Georgina is starting to suffer memory loss and finds out her daughter has taken advantage of her power of attorney status and withdrawn some of her money. Needing to watch out for herself, she has a friend help her redo necessary paperwork.

Jenimy is needing to make a change in her life and responds to a plea for help from her grandmother.

This is a heart warming story that is easy to read. The story is told by several people to show the whole point of view, some not so good. I especially enjoyed the parts of Jenimy. She has suffered so much in her life time and is there to help her grandmother with her health, home and finances. It is interesting to see such differences between Jenimy and her mother. Her mother thinks of putting grandmother in a home, Jenimy leaves her home and does what is needed for her grandmother. Jenimy also is working forward on her career.
