If there were a way to give a .5 stars I would probably do it. I say it over and over... not all of think that BDSM or dom/sub is erotic. I don't know those that do, however, I think that I should be able to figure it out without having to read a book. It's basic courtesy. And in those cases were its the major part of the story? Oh please. If you have to use BDSM to be erotic, you are doing it wrong!

Hurts So Good: Ellora's Cave Presents Tekijä: Gail Faulkner

Re-read Romeo by Gail Faulkner. Another uber dominant, over the top possessive hero you can't take for real but who is a nice diversion, especially after having read a few really bad books. B.

Ghost Unit: Knot Tonight (Books 1 and 2) Tekijä: Gail Faulkner

Re-read Slip Knot. C- This used to be a comfort read but it just feels plain stupid now. I like Gail Faulkner's heroes, they might not be very realistic, but they are wonderfully alpha and dominant. In Slip Knot the conflict between the hero and heroine seemed kind of construed and silly, and instead of there being tons of lovely sex scenes, there was too much bickering and bossing.
Still like the first part of the series, Full Ride, which is quite a heavy D/s romance. I reread it last year and graded it a B .… (lisätietoja)

Wicked Beast Tekijä: Gail Faulkner

This is more like 2 and half stars.

Wicked Beast had a great hero who reminded me a bit of Drago from the Elder Races series but unlike those books, the world building and irritating characters let this book down for me. There is a precocious and magical child character whose dialogue looks forced, stilted and annoying and the fact that her name was Minuet just adds to her Mary-Sueishness.

The hero, Cord was the saving grace to this book and I don't think I would have liked it as half as much if I didn't enjoy his character. The love scenes with Molly was hot and tension filled and very sexy which I really enjoyed but the main plot wasn't that strong and a disappointment. Although I didn't enjoy this book as much as I would like - I am definitely will be looking at Gail Faulkner's other books books.… (lisätietoja)
