Marsilio Ficino (1433-99) was a philosopher, scholar, priest physician, writer andmusician. In other words he was a "Renaissance Man". In this collection we have short commentaries on twenty-five of the dialogues of Plato and his letters. Ficino had translated the dialogues into Latin for Cosimo de' Medici. The commentaries provide a unique view of Plato and his work as it was viewed during the Italian Renaissance.
