Not my cup of tea, ultimately. Without giving too much away, it was a bit sensational (in the old sense of the term), and the resolution of the case mostly unsatisfying. Secondary characters weren't particularly interesting (nor primary characters, come to think of it), and I pretty much only kept reading on the off-chance that this new-to-me author might be building up to something surprisingly fantastic. She didn't.

(Note: 5 stars = amazing, wonderful, 4 = very good book, 3 = decent read, 2 = disappointing, 1 = awful, just awful. I'm fairly good at picking for myself so end up with a lot of 4s). I feel a lot of readers automatically render any book they enjoy 5, I'm a bit more ruthless.… (lisätietoja)
