Kai's partner passed away a few months ago, and he has been in a major depression. He decides to teach to get out of his funk, and meets Adrian. They start a relationship.

Honestly, I really struggled with this book. Adrian seemed very selfish and only really thought about himself. He kept saying things like "what about me" and "when are you going to forget about Christopher", but it had only been a few months. He was not in any way helping Kai with his grieving; he was just uber selfish. I did not like him at all. I wanted Kai to walk away and find someone who was more emotionally equal and available. Their "relationship" moved way too fast for me. 2 months into dating, Adrian asks to move in with Kai, and then gets upset with him for having Christopher's things around. It felt to me like Kai was settling.

The writing wasn't bad, I just hated the characters. From my feeling alone, I want to give it 2 stars, but I feel that the writer worked hard on this story and put good quality writing into it. I am acknowledging that the low rating is because of my enjoyment and strong feelings about Adrian, not lack of skill by the author.… (lisätietoja)

Riley's sexy exterior hides a traumatized spirit; a young man running from demons in his past. Keith, on the other hand, is lonely and looking for someone to care. Delacroix slowly reveals Riley's secrets and Keith's attempts to develop a loving relationship in the wake of a painful trauma. Eric is rich with material wealth, but his emotional life is sorely lacking. Will tells the story of The Little Prince; through his eyes Eric appears handsome and well-favored. But Eric is lonely and timid when it comes to reaching out to others. The summer they spend together changes both of them.In the end, Flawed Boys is about hope and possibilities and reaching out for the one thing that everybody wants--love. This is an entertaining anthology that holds together as a unit, as well as separately in each story. Delacroix knows how to paint rich images with his writing.
