It put me in the mind of Bring It On the one with Hayden Panettiere .. Where she moves to a new school but promise her friends she will never cheer again. Same principle different sport. Stupid really, why jeopardize your future over something so stupid as refusing to play for the rival team. It was a cute read and I enjoyed Sky and Caleb's interactions.

This book was trash
first of all it ends on a god awful cliff hanger and could have easily been remedied in a single book. This book was angsty but I was kind of okay with it till I saw the synopsis for book 2. So Caleb likes Sky but fake dates this bitch so people don’t know she lives with him and his uncle. Dumb but whatever it’s fake... except in book 2 bitch is pregnant which means Caleb slept with her! He liked Sky this chick is Black mailing him and he f*cks her... he is trash. I’m sorry but that’s an unacceptable way to behave in my book and I will never read any of these books again … (lisätietoja)

I think the editor of this book needs to work on their reviewing skills. There are tons of little typos and grammar errors in this book.

The gist of the story is that Layla finds out her boyfriend has been cheating on her when she discovers naked pictures of some girl on his phone. Layla attempts to text the girl but instead ends up texting the guy that she thinks is the biggest jerk in school. They continue to text each other however (under seudo names) and begin a relationship.

Though the story is cute in essence I feel that it was a bit forced. Or perhaps unrealistic? I'm not sure which. I know that I personally think that the book is WAY too revolved around the idea of texting. Perhaps its because I'm of the 90's generation that grew up without texting and smart phones. I just feel that that's really all the book was... two people texting each other back and forth. This may be interesting to some but it just didn't blow my skirt up.

Perhaps this is written for the younger generations to enjoy. I'm not quite sure. However I'm sure that a younger person would probably get more out of it than I did.

After this book gets recalled and retyped without all the errors, I would recommend this book to the right person. The story is cute.

This is such a cute read! Who doesn’t love when people can potentially go from a secondary school hatred to a blossoming love, well, if they don’t kill each other first.

It was interesting to see how this played out, with the main character’s boyfriend being involved in some quite scandalous and hurtful texts with another girl, to he trying to get revenge, but it going completely wrong. I felt for her, as being in a cheating situation can really take everything out of you, and it can be quite hard to save face in a secondary school. She played it well and even found a new outlet for her time.

The characters were fun and interesting to get to know. I like finding out just why they were polar opposites and what they enjoyed in school an life. As I got close to them, I felt connected to their story, even when they despised one another.

Overall, this was a good read and definitely one a lot of teen/secondary age readers will love.
