Nellie Cook Davis

A committee of local historians worked to rebuild the "history" of Miller County. Miller County suffered a total loss of all original root-records in disastrous fires that consumed two early courthouses. The historians "relied on laborious research of records and accounts hidden away in newspaper files and documents in neighboring counties, and in the State and National Archives in Atlanta and Washington."
