A valuable resource that explains why not to necessarily accept investment advice from a banking- or comission-based financial advisor: they're just glorified salespeople. The biggest insight I discovered was that mutual funds are a rather poor investment. No one can anticipate the market. This is a an excellent companion book to "Millionaire Teacher" and "The Wealthy Barber Returns".
This refreshingly simple to read and understand financial book takes you from the basic to the slightly more complicated and makes you realize you really don't need to get very complicated when it comes to finances. The money people just want you to think it is complicated so that they can make a profit off of you! Davidson explains all of the things you can do through your company benefit plans before you even get to your IRAs and 401ks. Do yourself a favor and read this book before you turn 35 so that you will be able to retire one day!!!!… (lisätietoja)
