The aim is to provide a basic introduction to "integrated, interactive experiences that occur across multiple media" and how those are designed and developed. The book is a freshman-level textbook, and to some extent it suffers from the textbook apparatus of learning objectives, summaries, exercises, etc. to the point that there is not much space for the actual contents. The book touches on a large number of key concepts and mentions a large number of examples, but only at a very superficial level. What it ultimately accomplishes is to lay out a skeletal structure of the field, which can then be fleshed out through further studies.… (lisätietoja)
