A book about the different kinds of spiders and what the do for humans. I liked how there was a story to follow as I learned about the different types of spiders. I learned a lot about them. I never knew there were so many different types. Each has their own look as well as their own living conditions. I always thought they all spun webs like you see in corners of rooms but they don't. I liked that photographs were shown. This is perfect for your 4-8 year old as well as adults.

Author Alice Cussler has put together a delightful short story, on the world of the spider. This book describes six different types of spider in great detail; together with twenty-one colorful closeup pictures! These pictures are truly fascinating! What I really like about this book, is that it tells the story through the eyes and thoughts of six different spiders. We have Twig,Lucy,Jack,Amy,Tyler and Mr Johnston (a crab spider). There is no doubt that this presentation will engage your child to learn, enjoy and have fun, all at the same time! It is a book, that your child will want to read and look through, over and over again! The objective of this book is to learn your child to respect animals and wildlife, and not to harm these innocent and hardworking, beautiful spiders! Alice, you have done a really superb job with this book. I highly recommend it for everyone! It's not just for the children. Adults can also learn and enjoy the story as well!

A cute little book of bedtime stories that kids are sure to love. They aren't the typical types of Mother Goose stories, mind you, but even as adult I thought that they were adorable.
