Questions about Love is the second book in a series entitled Curious about Life. The collection of 26 poems walks the reader chronologically through life stages, focusing on a poignant and relatable aspect of love. Each poem consists of 5-7 quatrains followed by a photograph. In some regards, this pattern supports a rhythm of the work, but I would have appreciated more spontaneity and deviation from this template and the photos felt slightly contrived. More human diversity in a collection on common human emotional experiences would be welcomed. The poems are laden with questions, but as a reader I wandered a bit and would have enjoyed a deeper dive into these emotionally muddy waters, not expecting “answers” but rich contemplation. This is a sweet collection in which the author attempts different points of view, contemplating the role, importance and inevitability of this thing called love.… (lisätietoja)
