Established in 1919, Children's Book Week is the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country. Greenlight is proud to participate in Children’s Book Week with a week of school author visits, culminating in a panel discussion with some of the brightest stars in children’s books. Panelists include Sophie Blackall, illustrator of the Ivy & Bean series and author most recently of new sibling picture book The Baby Tree; Doreen Cronin, author of Click, Clack Moo and its sequels, and creator of the new picture book about friendship Boom Snot Twitty; and Caldecott medal winner Chris Raschka, author most recently of The Cosmobiography of Sun Ra. The discussion of writing, art, reading, publishing, and kids will be moderated by Allie Jane Bruce, Children's Librarian at the Bank Street College of Education.
