What an interesting idea for a cookbook! Katherine Cobbs takes the age old treat of milk and cookies, something she admits has been relegated to the arena of children, and turns it into boozy adult time fun. The cocktails she highlights contain dairy, or dairy substitutes like almond milk or even a concoction made with chickpeas! It's amazing what Vegans will come up with in this day and age - but Cobb's colourful and educational cookbook makes even aquafaba seem like a good idea. She starts with a bit of a history and quick rundown of what you need to know before diving into the recipes. She gives tips on how to get the most out of her cookie recipes, and even goes so far as to give a rundown on the different types of cocktail glasses - which was actually very interesting. She highlights different bars around the United States before she gives the recipe to signature cocktails, and pairs these cocktails with a choice cookie recipe. The recipes seem simple enough and I think any reader would be able to find success. A great and unique endeavour and one I am excited to dive into.… (lisätietoja)
