This book describes the hydrologic cycle in detail using key vocabulary words such as evaporation, precipitation, condensation, liquid, solid, and vapor. I liked this book because it is talking about the water cycle but is does it in a way children could understand. It uses the key vocabulary words but it puts the definitions in kid friendly language. I also like the pictures that it uses to describe what is happening to the water in each stage. The pictures show where the water started, where it goes and how it gets there. I would use this book in upper elementary grades to introduce the water cycle. It goes into details so it gives students a glimpse of what the water cycle is and it introduces key words and phrases.… (lisätietoja)

Since today is Earth Day, I had the motivation to get a head start on my science books collection. I really believe that with science, it is important to get a variety of sciences to teach children. I tried to make my six books very broad and diverse, since science is my favorite subject. I think it is very important to teach children about the concept of things like this, such as how the earth's systems work. Even I learned some new information from "Living Sunlight", as it explained the process of photosynthesis in a beautiful way.… (lisätietoja)
