Intriguing and a bit odd, Carter's vision of life after death and how it relates to the living fuels the experience of 'Remember the Moon'. Although she weaves many different strands of perception throughout the roles of the main characters, it began to feel as if Carter became lost within the plot's perplexities herself and the story took a couple of random turns; specifically during and after the breakup between Maya & Dom, and from there forward with Jay. What began as a thought provoking adventure ended as a bit of an absurdity for me. I just didn't buy into it in the end.… (lisätietoja)

A weekend getaway planned for the family skiing and just having fun together. When plans change, Maya, and their son Calder head out to the slopes without Jay. Jay just wants to have some alone time. He works hard running his own business putting in long hours, that he needs a break to recharge himself. Telling a lie to be home alone, a meeting that can't be rescheduled...perfect. Guilty of the lie, and Calders' disappointment is to much. Jay decides to drive up to the resort, and enjoy the rest of the weekend with his wife and son.

Fate takes a turn...a car accident. Jay is dead. Really? He doesn't feel like he died.
Jay may be dead, but he still has work to do. Maya, and Calder still need him. With help of his spirit guide, and his father that pasted away when he was young, Jay will rediscover himself, and help guide his family to happiness.

A delightful read. I don't know what caused more tears, the loss, or the laughter. I adored the characters, and the sentimental devotion to memories, and life lessons. The story is unique. A realistic twist on life after death. I want to believe this to be true. A must have in your library. 5/5

I truly enjoyed it. I was fascinated by the concept that we continue to grow even after death. I really recommend it!

Absolutely gorgeous in its lyrical language and look at the stages of loss from both sides of a tragedy. I loved every moment. Highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to examine what it's like to experience loss and find yourself again, sometimes in the most odd situations. It was one of those books in which you don't want to skip a single word. Awesome!
