A former interactive media developer, Kendra turned her creative skills toward storytelling in order to find more meaning in life. It turns out the same skills that can write JavaScript can craft stories about feline hijinks.

An expert in cat ownership, she's had eight cats in the course of her life, plus many others that have been temporary residents (mostly due to lack of timely feline birth control).

She currently lives with The One Cat to Rule Them All in New England, where she does all the shopping, cooking, and snow shoveling herself. Occasionally, the cat supervises, when she's not busy napping.

Creative story of how Bob, a cat, spends his time while his human, Marcia, is out of town. His neighbor, Farfel, brings offers over and puts them on the front doorstep. Marcia is not pleased. Then she discovers what is happening.

I enjoyed this story. Told with words and drawings it is imaginative. Marcia's thought processes are interesting. Wrong, but interesting. I would read more of Bob and Farfel.

I was asked to review this by Librarything.com.

Sadly I am writing this up in February and Christmas is over now.

A short but cute read about two neighbouring cats and their adventures during Christmas , It is written from their perspective.
The illustrations were cute complimented the story well.

A lovely story book for kids- not too early to start the Christmas gifts.

This was a short but cute read about two neighboring kitties and their adventures during Christmas time from their own points of view. The illustrations were simple in style but complimented the story well. A great short holiday read for the kids.

I won a mobi.file copy of this book from the author through a giveaway she recently had on LibraryThing and the following is my honest opinion.

My dear OH and I never had any children so instead we’ve had two fur-kids. Each time one died, one at 13 due to a hyperactive thyroid, and the second at 19.5 old age and diabetes for seven years, we adopted a new one. Which is why I loved reading this book.

I know Farfel knows what he’s doing in training his new human, because our fur-children trained us. Example, when I would pick our younger cat, a calico, I could turn her upside down in my arm while I would tickle her; when she had enough she would gently pat my nose, telling me to put her back on the floor. We never needed an alarm clock because our fur-kids would wake us up to feed them. And they would misbehave, until we got what they wanted right.

Just like Bob’s human, Marcia, we quickly learned that trying to play dress-up with our fur-child was a BIG NO-NO.

Ms. Carmichael wrote this book in the only way possible, from Farfel’s and Bob’s POV [point of view]; which allows her readers into the mischievous thought processes these two clowns had in what they would wind up doing. The numerous small illustrations, carefully placed through the book, I feel heightens the reading process.

This story could have only been written by a human cat mother, based on her motherly cat experiences, which is why this book is definitely a book for ALL cat lovers, both men and women, to share and perhaps read with their children or other young family members; as well as why I’ve given this book 5 STARS.
