I would give this book, The Secret Root a higher rating, except the ending was a cliff-hanger. I enjoyed most of the book, it read well and kept my interest. Then at the end, the main characters are sent off into more danger with no resolution of the book's mysteries and challenges.

The book surprised me after the first couple of chapters. I did not realize things were going to radically change. The characters spend the last 3/4 of the book living in a Matrix like world, hooked into online communities using avatars to communicate. I think is was well done and interesting, but I was surprised, I was not expecting that.

All in all, a pretty good read, with a very incomplete ending.… (lisätietoja)
